Spidey senses are tingling at Mother, Baby & Child Show

Friendly neighbourhood hero Spider-Man headlines this year’s Mother, Baby & Child Show – fashion shows, music, family fun, games and prizes galore on offer

Are your spidey senses tingling? They should be as Spider-Man, everybody’s favourite neighbourhood superhero, will be making his debut at this year’s edition of the Mother, Baby and Child Show (MBCS) which takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from the 6-8 December 2012.

“Our show is action-packed this year, we have guest appearances from Spider-Man, plus children’s favourite, fun-loving Nickelodeon characters, Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. Kids always love meeting their heroes face to face and Spider-Man is certain to be very popular, especially with Spider-Man goodies up for grabs.

“Now in its 9th year the Mother Baby and Child Show 2012 promises three days full of fun and games for the whole family,” said Shannon Norris, Exhibition Director for Mother Baby & Child Show (MBC).

With 20,000 visitors expected The Main Event (TME) the organiser of the MBC show has made attending the event more convenient for parents, by providing a full range of support services, such as a fully equipped baby changing facility with free Sudocrem and Pampers diapers.

This year Pampers will be hosting free Q&A sessions for new and expectant mums, with an opportunity to 'ask the expert' on a number of important topics from their baby’s development, to maintaining a healthy baby’s skincare regime.

Pampers Brand Manager, Ahmed Al Kuhlani said “Pampers is committed to babies’ healthy happy development and we constantly working to improve the experience babies get from wearing our diapers.

“This year we are sponsoring MBC to introduce and educate parents on Pampers Premium Care, our most advanced diaper, and give every parent the opportunity to be the first to try our latest product range,” he added.

This year, to make attending the show as easy as possible for mums, Nestle is sponsoring a private breastfeeding and toddler feeding area.

“A new feature this year is our ‘Face in the crowd’ promotion. Each hour the camera will pick out a ‘Face in the crowd’, and project it onto the giant stage screen. That lucky person will be brought on stage and presented with a ‘Pampers’ Hamper’ valued at over AED1,000.

TME launched a new Arabic and English website - motherbabyandchild.com – where parents can write a blog, enter competitions, join a group, join in the gossip, or create a gallery for their photos and videos. In addition to celebrate the first anniversary of the website, mums who have registered online, will go into a draw to win tickets to the show.

“To further increase the excitement, one lucky winner will be picked during the event to treat the family to a night’s stay at the Emirates Park Resort Hotel, Abu Dhabi which includes free entrance to the Emirates Park Zoo for a family of four,” said Norris.

Numerous high street brands will also be on display, many of them with exciting promotions exclusive to the show, including Crocs who will be retailing at up to 80% off its recommend retail price.

“A superb range of Mattel and Fisher Price toys will also be on offer at big discounts, which would make ideal Christmas gifts,” said Norris.

Another exciting feature this year is ‘The Face of MBCS’ in association with Pink Pepper Photography. Proud parents can enter their children into the competition to become the face of our MBC 2013 media campaign.

Again new this year, Pinca Trading LLC is launching the Yo Baby KickFlipper demonstrating skate, surf and snowboarding tricks in a safe environment.  The Yo Baby teaches a child coordination, balance, creativity and imagination, on a sturdy, plastic no-wheels skateboard deck.
