Global Village Receives Record Breaking Near 2 Million Visitors in Less than 2 Months

More Shows and Surprises Now in Preparation for New Year

Global Village, the region’s leading Cultural, Shopping and Entertainment family outdoor destination, has recorded a record breaking number of visitors since its opening on October 21st with over 1.8 million people visiting in the first 48 days of operation.
The record breaking numbers have coincided with two major events, Eid Al Adha celebrations and Union Festival in celebration of UAE’s 41st National Day which lasted for 11 days and ended on December 2.

This year’s operational season, 2012/2013 has also started earlier than ever before and will continue for 161 days, the longest operational period in the park’s history. This comes as a result of the rising demand for an especially designed outing with an endless number of entertainment, folk shows and concerts on offer combined with a unique shopping experience and dining options from an array of international and local menus.
To keep its new and returning customers happy and entertained Global Village is always looking for new and innovative attractions and entertainment offers to make visits for families better than ever before.

Now that the Union Festival has concluded Global Village has already created a new and exciting schedule of entertainment for the days and weeks ahead.  The new schedule includes a large number of new and entertaining folk shows, concerts and activities which will take place at the park’s main stages or within the 37 pavilions that represent more than 65 world countries.

Topping the list of the new folk shows, is the Algerian folk group Al Ahlam. Making its debut at Global Village, the group is performing on the World Culture Stage four times a day. Each show comprises three acts that reflect the depth of Algeria’s exhilarating, colorful folklore and traditions and performances run until 10th December.

The Serbian Swing Board Stunt Show is set to follow and will also be performing for the first time at Global Village. Their stunt show on a specially designed stage features acrobatic moves, swinging boards and tactical jumps to entertain children and adults.

Cultural and street shows, dancing fountains, the Fire Show and Shaimak Davar will also continue to take place at Global Village in addition to a number of new shows that will be performed in the next few months,

Meanwhile the popular bimonthly raffle draws to win a Chevrolet Camaro are still taking place and visitors get a complementary raffle coupon once they buy their entry tickets.
