Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel
To Organise Fitness Challenge
A
Fitness Challenge will take place in May at the Special One Fitness gym in Abu Dhabi, managed by the Armed Forces
Officers Club & Hotel.
Designed
as the ‘ultimate test of speed, strength and will’, the challenge is issued to
men aged 16 and above, and will be carried out on an individual basis at any

Forces Officers Club & Hotel, entrants will take part in six timed events,
and the winner will be offered both a one-year gym membership and a cash prize
of AED10,000.
“The
Fitness Challenge will put entrants through their paces in six different
categories ranging from the treadmill to weight pressing, as well as testing
their abilities at chin-ups, sit-ups, push-ups and lunge,” he said.
“Although
this is a challenge, with valuable prizes, every entrant will gain from pushing
boundaries and testing themselves against the clock and their fellow
competitors, and we look forward to a very exciting event.”
Registration
fee for entrants is AED150, and as well as the top prize, there are three additional
prizes of AED7,000 plus a six-month gym
memberships, AED5,000 and three-month membership and AED3,000 and one-month
membership.
The
six events have to be completed in an assigned order with breaks between each
event and score will be determined by a combination of all six times, with
weights/heights adjusted for each participant.
