@LCFinDubai London College of Fashion Return to the Middle East in May with a New Line up of Courses

Footwear Design, Fashion Drawing and Fashion Journalism Add to the Exciting Agenda of Classes
Renowned UK based Fashion College and celebrated institution London College of Fashion (LCF), is bringing its successful short course programme back to the Middle East from 16th to 28th May 2014 with a new and dynamic schedule of classes to be hosted at the chic Vida Hotel in Downtown Dubai.
A total of eight courses will be on offer this Spring including past favorites and three fresh additions– Footwear Design, Fashion Drawing and Fashion Journalism.  The courses are designed for those seeking international standards of tuition without having to travel out of the Middle East; taught by LCF lecturers who are all experts in their field and practicing London fashion professionals.

Those looking to channel their inner Christian Louboutin can get creative with Footwear Design; the course will introduce students to the art of designing shoes and through a project brief they will learn about research, customer profiling, drawing and presentation. A combination of lectures and workshops will focus on the development of story boards, range building, decoding trends and predictions.

Fresh from his session as key-note speaker for the second time at Fashion Forward 3, successful London based journalist and Editor Paul Tierney will be presenting Fashion Journalism: Print vs. Digital. If you enjoy writing, the world of blogging, have an appetite for reporting on people or see yourself as a lifestyle journalist, this fast paced and exciting course will provide you with a practical introduction to fashion journalism and an insight into the industry at large.

Fashion Drawing is a practical course that will start building up your confidence with a pencil and paper. Students will learn how to draw a fashion figure, sketch garments, and seamlessly combine figures with clothing, finishing the course with a collection of work for their portfolio. Tutor Ana Stankovic-Fitzgerald is a practicing illustrator and has had freelance commissions published online, in magazines, books, as advertisements and in corporate literature.
